Tabla Beginner Course 1

A 6 sessions course starting on the 20th of September 2020.
This course is for any individual interested in learning Tabla from scratch and wants to explore more the world of oriental percussion.
In this course, the following topics will be covered:
– History of the instrument
– Rhythmical Solfege
– Technique exercises for Tabla
– Exploring the different oriental rhythms and how to play them on Tabla
Hany Bedair is one of the most known and important oriental percussion players in the Middle East.
He performed with a number of great artists and musicians such as: Omar Khairat, Ziad Rahbani, Yasser Abdel Rahman, Rageh Daoud and Naseer Shamma among others. He also performed with many music groups such as: Eftekasat, Nagham Masry, Masar Egbary, Nuran Abu Talib, Dina Al-Wadidi, The Karkadeh Project (Muhammad Abu Zekry), Massar (Hazem Shaheen), Souad Masi, Makadi Nahhas and Tania Saleh. Hany played with most Egyptian and Arab singers, whether in their concerts or singing albums, and performed with them in many Arab and international festivals.
Hany also works as an instructor for oriental percussion. He tought at The Institute for Middle Eastern Studies, the Oud House of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, Beit Al-Harawi, under the supervision of the artist Naseer Shamma, the Museum of Prince of Poets Ahmed Shawky of the Ministry of Culture and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
